VBS – Wave 4

Psalm 86:11 "Teach me Your ways, oh Lord, and I will live by Your Truth."
Tomorrow is our last day for VBS and it really has been a wonderful experience for all involved.
Outrigger Island was going strong today. The children could be heard clearly over Worship Falls as they sang their songs. It was truly inspiring.
During Wave 4 our life truth was, “The Bible Is God’s Word”. That pretty much sums it up, but our children took it another step. They listened to the story of Jeremiah and Baruch found in Jeremiah 36. They heard how God spoke to Jeremiah to wrote what God told him which we can read for ourselves today.
- God told Jeremiah the words to write on a scroll.
- Baruch helped Jeremiah. Jeremiah told Baruch what to write on the scroll.
- Baruch read the scroll to the temple officials. The officials told the king.
- The king cut the scroll in pieces and threw it in the fire.
- God told Jeremiah to write the words again on another scroll. God added even more to this scroll.
- God’s Words that Jeremiah wrote on the scroll are in the Bible.
TRUTH: The Bible is God’s Word
Bible Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16
Life Truth: I know the Bible is God’s Word. I can explore its truth.
Wave Action: Explore the Bible’s truth! Read at least one Bible verse before tomorrow. Try to read one new verse each day for a week. Would you like to share the verses you read daily? Leave a comment here and we’ll enjoy sharing as the next week, weeks, months, … go on with each other – even though VBS is coming to end.

On August 10th we would be honored to have all of you attend our 9:30a or 11:00a services. On that day any child who participated in VBS is invited to sing at these services. They will be performing “Outrigger Island” and “God Is Real”. There will also be a showing of the slideshow of the week. The children have worked very hard this week and this is like a showcase of everything they did. Bring your family and friends for a wonderful worship experience. We are asking children who would like to come to wear their t-shirts they made in crafts this week. They all turned out so well so make sure they take them home with them.
August 17th there will also be a Childrens’ Ministry Meeting at our church. It will be immediately following the 11:00 service and will be in the Worship Center. If you have a child or a genuine interest in childrens’ ministry, would just like to listen in, or have ideas, please come and join us. We would love to see you there.
God bless you all and we will see you in the morning.
